Then when the tank spawns (with no horde mind you), killing it so easy because there's no objects on the road, it will often spawn all the way down the road as well so by the time it gets to you, it's dead. The road gives you too much line of sight, leading to zombies not spawning closer, they all bunch up on the house and not behind you, leading to one cover point, Smokers and Jockeys even have trouble navigating to you. The lighthouse is too easily defend-able for the survivors.

Failed once on the finale, had 10 cans out of 12 but finished it next one after. I have, five times on realism expert so far. It's a very poor campaign but it sure isn't because it's easy. Have you played it on expert? Perhaps it's different if you've got plenty of friends who are good at the game, but that 2nd map is absolute hell if doing single player or are having to carry other players, yes there's plenty of health but very rarely do you get throwables in any number, in fact you're lucky if you get enough molotovs to use on each of the tanks, and there are 4 scripted tanks (5 if you get one at the start of the map and not counting the ones that spawn when the boat arrives) on expert. just the difficulty and how short it is makes it lacking at best. The generators go on way too fast in Versus meaning infected can't get into proper positions, billions of items on the finale and so much more.įor placement and assets, I don't really have an issue with them. (Not worse than the trash that Crash Course has.) It's too short, too easy in campaign (despite people wanting it even easier for some reason). Originally posted by Sharpie:Last Stand is unfortunately one of the worst campaigns I've played. I feel bad for all of the L4D2 players, honestly.

(Even farther from what I already disliked, I'm a die-hard L4D1 player even today.) It's a complete shame that the game took a turn in this direction. I have heard the news on the drama behind the update, and I can CLEARLY see it's all true. How is this supposed to bring any value to the game? The map re-uses a bunch of the same "Fix the generator" and "Gas filling minigame" events from so many other maps. the whole thing just looks so lame for an official update! Unfortunately this "New" map has poorly made burning trees and other assets that just don't fit. (For instance, the plane that flies over and the burning forest area). There are some places which appear to be strange copy-paste areas from the "Dam-it" Map, the unfinished official map from L4D1. How on earth did Valve pass this and make it an official update? It not only looks like trash, it plays like trash. The Last Stand campaign map was absolute garbage.
